Серебристые облака образуются на высотах около 80 км - почти в космосе. За счёт столь большой высоты такие облака подсвечиваются находящимся под горизонтом Солнцем и видны как жемчужно-серебристые волны в зоревом секторе неба. Через них просвечивают звёзды, а контраст и яркость столь малы, что днём эти структуры просто не видны.

Вот так выглядит "посеребрённое" небо и исторический центр Казани с высоты в полкилометра.
