Pamir. Old radiolocation station

Pamir is a former secret radar station operated from the 1960s until the mid-1990s located on one of the highest peaks of the Bukovynian Carpathians - on Mount Tomnatik at an altitude of 1,565 meters.
Nowadays many people come here to enjoy the mountain ranges and peaks, blooming crocuses, absolute silence, a view of the lands of Transylvania and the Romanian mountains. Walking around the station you can see barns and outbuildings and visit a real bomb shelter.
Jeep tours and excursions around the station organized regularly. Music and ethnic festivals are held here lately. Location is also great for creating unique photo sessions. Music video for the song “1944” of Ukrainian singer Jamala which won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 was also shot here.
