Рассвет на красном плато

В прошлом году в окрестностях озера были пожары, которые частично затронули красное плато перед пиком Бараний. Называют его так из-за обширного ковра голубичника и березки Миддендорфа, которые краснеют при первых заморозках. По причине пожаров и ранних снегов в этом году мы не поднимались на плато, но я удовольствием вспоминаю, как в одно утро неспешно занимался рассвет, а краски земли и неба звучали в унисон друг другу.

Last year there there was a forest fire at the surroundings of Jack London Lake. The Red Plateau in the vicinity of Mt. Baraniy also partially burned. Locals call it «red» because of the vast carpet of blueberry bushes and Middendorff birches which are getting red after the first frosts. We didn’t ascend to this place in this expedition, because of the last year fire and early snow. But I’m happy to recall that beautiful morning when the sunrise was coming in no hurry and colors of the ground and sky merged in unison.
