Description
This is the culmination of my learnings, failures and work during my first year of astrophotography. This is a pretty dim target and I spent 6 short spring nights photographing it from a Finnish cabin by the seaside. As an added difficulty bonus, it was the last target of the season and the moon was almost full most of the time so it certainly wasn't trivial to get things right.
I put basically everything I have learned so far into this one and it's my first published astrophoto here.
~20h of Ha and OIII signal together amounted to ~10 Gigabytes of material, so this is by far the deepest photo yet for me. I might try to work on RGB stars and maybe drizzling later on, but for now I'm pretty happy with the results.
