Тростниковая овсянка похожа на воробья, но не путайте, это совсем другая птичка, особенно отличается клюв, он типичен именно для овсянок и приспособлен добывать и крошить семена растений, его верхняя часть уже нижней, это больше заметно конечно при открытом клюве.
