This weird shop, looking like it's taken out of the 1950s, is in my neighborhood. For as long as I can remember, it looks like that - with the old scales and shopwindows. You can find everything inside from fruit and vegetables through detergents and buttons.
I've always liked this place - because it looks like it's frozen in the 50s (only now the goods are more). Yesterday I decided to go in and ask if I could take a picture. The woman inside eyed me with suspicion, but when I said it was a for project (which I would reveal when I had more material on it), she agreed.
Turns out these scales not only work, but they're fully operational, and every month, an old man comes to check them. The place is so unreal, I just couldn't help editing the shot so it looked like old color photography.
