Обыкновенный канюк,или сарыч-хищная птица.Длина тела 51-57 см.Окраска сильно варьирует,от палевой до тёмно-бурой.Охотится на открытых пространствах,медленно паря в воздухе или чаще всего с засады на возвышении.Питается мелкими млекопитающими.
