Замечательное и очень разнообразное семейство тимелиевых (Timaliidae) богато на экстравагантных представителей. Вообще в него входят что-то около 300 видов, причём по внешнему виду птицы настолько не похожи, что не зная вопроса, трудно даже предположить что они являются родственниками друг другу.
